Itinerary: Venice – Bologna – Modena Area – La Spezia (2 nights) – Cinque Terre – Pisa, Florence (2 nights) – San Gimignano – Siena – Rome.

DAY 1 – SUNDAY – VENICE – BOLOGNA – SURROUNDINGS OF MODENA – LA SPEZIA

Departure from Piazzale Roma / Tronchetto in Venice bound for Bologna. Free time to visit the city sights such as the imposing Piazza Maggiore and the Asinelli and Garisenda towers. Then we continue to Modena. Here we will make a stop to taste one of the most famous Italian products in the world, balsamic vinegar. Afterwards we depart for La Spezia. Arrival at the hotel, welcome dinner at a local restaurant and overnight stay. Meals: D

DAY 2 – MONDAY – LA SPEZIA – CINQUE TERRE – LA SPEZIA

Breakfast at the hotel. Departure to the port of La Spezia where we embark on a boat excursion to the Cinque Terre. The five villages of the Cinque Terre are one of the most pristine areas in Italy. A long stretch of rocky coast with little bays and beaches bathed by a crystal-clear sea. Little villages are perched precariously on the cliffs. The Cinque Terre was declared a World Heritage site by UNESCO in 1997. Our boat arrives in Porto Venere and we continue to Vernazza and then to Monterosso, the largest and oldest village in the Cinque Terre. It is divided into two parts, the old city and the new one. Return to La Spezia. Tonight, you have free time to explore on your own. Overnight stay. Meals: B

DAY 3 – TUESDAY – LA SPEZIA – PISA – FLORENCE

Breakfast at the hotel and then we depart for Pisa. Here we will visit the town and the iconic leaning tower of Pisa. A unique UNESCO listed architectural wonder located in Piazza dei Miracoli. Early in afternoon we will continue to Florence. On arrival we will visit of the historical center of the city passing through the Piazza del Duomo, the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore, Piazza della Signoria and Ponte Vecchio. Tonight, you have a free evening to explore beautiful Florence on your own. Meals: B

DAY 4 – WEDNESDAY -FLORENCE

Breakfast at the hotel. Today is a rest day and its yours to explore. Florence is also called the “Cradle of Renaissance”, it is one of the most famous cities in the world and a great walking city, as there is so much to see. Possibility of optional tours, such as a visit of the Uffizi Gallery, the Academia Gallery or even an excursion to the Chianti district. Farewell dinner at a local restaurant. Overnight stay. Meals: B, D

DAY 5 – THURSDAY – FLORENCE – SAN GIMIGNANO – SIENA – ROME

Breakfast at the hotel. Today we head for San Gimignano a small UNESCO listed medieval town. Encircled by 13th century walls, you will see within the imposing towers built by the nobles to display their family’s wealth and standing. Afterwards we continue through the Tuscan countryside to Siena. Here you will have a guided tour of this ancient city which was built around the Piazza del Campo. The Piazza is famous for its shell shape and its architectural beauty. You will also see the Duomo di Siena a stunning church made from black and white marble. In the afternoon we depart for Rome and arrive in the city in the evening. There will be guaranteed drop-offs in Viale Washington, Viale Luigi Einaudi / Termini Station Area, Via Ludovisi. Transfer services and extra nights in Rome available upon request. End of services. Meals: B
