Itinerary: Rome – Naples- Pompeii – Sorrento – Capri – Positano – Rome
Day 1 – ROME – NAPLES – POMPEII – SORRENTO
Departure from Rome at 7.30am, possibility of pick up from central Rome hotels. Upon arrival in Naples, the group will enjoy a walking tour of the city center. Afterwards we will have lunch in a typical Naples restaurant (drinks not included). The group will then continue to Pompeii for a guided visit. This ancient Roman city was destroyed by the eruption of Mount Vesuvius in 79 A.D. The visit to Pompeii also includes a visit of a coral and cameo factory where we will have the opportunity to admire items made with a technique dating back to Greek times. Afterwards we will proceed to Sorrento, the gateway to the Amalfi coast. Check in at the hotel in Sorrento, dinner and overnight. Meals: L D
Day 2- SORRENTO – CAPRI – SORRENTO
American buffet breakfast at the hotel. Today we depart at 07:30 am to head to the island of CAPRI via water ferry. Once on the island you will visit, the BLUE GROTTO (weather permitting), and make a stop at the famous Piazzetta. A minibus will take you up to ANACAPRI where you will have lunch. After lunch you will be transferred back to your hotel and you will have free time for a relaxing afternoon. Overnight at the hotel. Meals: B L D
Day 3 SORRENTO – POSITANO
American buffet breakfast at the hotel. Departure at 9.30 am to POSITANO via the breathtaking Amalfi Coast. Check in at the hotel and time at leisure in Positano. Overnight at the hotel. Meals: B
Day 4 – POSITANO
American Buffet breakfast at the hotel. Today you have time at leisure to relax and spend the day on the beach, browse the little souvenir shops or to visit the nearby historic center of Amalfi. You can also visit the picturesque RAVELLO with the beautiful Villa Ruffolo and magnificent gardens of Villa Cimbrone. Why not have a romantic dinner in one of the pretty restaurants all around the harbour. Overnight in Positano. Meals: B
Day 5 – POSITANO – POMPEII – ROME
American buffet breakfast at the hotel. Morning at leisure. Meeting point at the hotel is 2.00/2:30pm. We will then transfer to Pompeii where you will join your bus to come back to Rome. Arrival in Rome around 9.00pm. Guaranteed drop off point: Viale Washington, Viale Luigi Enaudi, Termini Station Area, Via Ludovisi. Transfer services and extra nights in Rome available upon request.
