Itinerary: Rome – Naples- Pompeii – Sorrento – Capri – Rome
Day 1 – ROME – NAPLES – POMPEII – SORRENTO
Departure from Rome at 7.30am, possibility of pick up from central Rome hotels. Upon arrival in Naples, the group will enjoy a walking tour of the city center. Afterwards we will have lunch in a typical Naples restaurant (drinks not included). The group will then continue to Pompeii for a guided visit. This ancient Roman city was destroyed by the eruption of Mount Vesuvius in 79 A.D. The visit to Pompeii also includes a visit of a coral and cameo factory where we will have the opportunity to admire items made with a technique dating back to Greek times. Afterwards we will proceed to Sorrento, the gateway to the Amalfi coast. This colorful, historical town has a pretty waterfront with many fishing boats. Check in at the hotel in Sorrento, dinner and overnight. Meals: L D
Day 2- SORRENTO – CAPRI – SORRENTO
American buffet breakfast at the hotel. Today we depart at 07:30 am to head to the island of CAPRI via water ferry. Once on the island you will visit, the BLUE GROTTO (weather permitting), and make a stop at the famous Piazzetta. A minibus will take you up to ANACAPRI where you will have lunch. After lunch you will be transferred to your hotel and you will have free time for a relaxing afternoon. Overnight at the hotel. Meals: B L D
Day 3 SORRENTO
American buffet breakfast at the hotel. Day at leisure to explore Sorrento or have an optional extra tour to discover the Amalfi Coast visiting Positano, Ravello & Amalfi. Meals: B D
Day 4 SORRENTO – ROME
American buffet breakfast at the hotel. Your morning is free for you to enjoy. At around 2.30 -3.00pm we will meet in the hotel lobby and transfer to Pompeii where you will join your bus back to Rome. Arrival in Rome around 9.00pm Guaranteed drop off point: Viale Washington, Viale Luigi Enaudi, Termini Station Area, Via Ludovisi. Transfer services and extra nights in Rome available upon request.
