Itinerary: Rome – Naples- Pompeii – Sorrento – Capri – Positano – Amalfi Coast – Rome
Day 1 – ROME – NAPLES – POMPEII – SORRENTO
Departure from Rome at 7.30am, possibility of pick up from central Rome hotels. Upon arrival in Naples, the group will enjoy a walking tour of the city center. Afterwards we will have lunch in a typical Naples restaurant (drinks not included). The group will then continue to Pompeii for a guided visit. This ancient Roman city was destroyed by the eruption of Mount Vesuvius in 79 A.D. The visit to Pompeii also includes a visit of a coral and cameo factory where we will have the opportunity to admire items made with a technique dating back to Greek times. Afterwards we will proceed to Sorrento, the gateway to the Amalfi coast. This colorful, historical town has a pretty waterfront with many fishing boats. Check in at the hotel in Sorrento, dinner and overnight. Meals: L D
Day 2- SORRENTO – CAPRI – SORRENTO
American buffet breakfast at the hotel. Today we depart at 07:30 am to head to the island of CAPRI via water ferry. Once on the island you will visit, the BLUE GROTTO (weather permitting), and make a stop at the famous Piazzetta. A minibus will take you up to ANACAPRI where you will have lunch. After lunch you will be transferred to your hotel and you will have free time for a relaxing afternoon. Overnight at the hotel. Meals: B L D
Day 3 SORRENTO – POSITANO – AMALFI COAST
American buffet breakfast at the hotel. Depart to AMALFI via the breathtaking Amalfi Coast drive. En-route stop in POSITANO. Upon arrival at the picturesque village of Positano we will enjoy approximately 1H30 hour of free time to explore the narrow lanes and abundance of little shops. The perfect place to find a souvenir of your trip. Alternatively, laze on the beach or visit the Church of Santa Maria Assunta on your own. Leaving Positano we arrive in Amalfi. Check in at the Hotel and time at leisure. Why not head for the beach and plunge into the sparkling Mediterranean ocean. Overnight at the hotel. Meals: B
Day 4 – AMALFI COAST
American Buffet breakfast at the hotel. Today time at leisure to visit the historic center of Amalfi which is justly considered an outdoor museum preserved almost intact with the architectural relics of its rich maritime history. You may also wish to visit the picturesque RAVELLO with the beautiful Villa Ruffolo and magnificent gardens of Villa Cimbrone or you can spend the day relaxing on the beach. Have a romantic dinner in one of the pretty restaurants all around the harbor or taste the traditional street food. Overnight in Amalfi. Meals: B
Day 5 – AMALFI COAST – POMPEII – ROME
American buffet breakfast at the hotel. Morning at leisure. Meeting point at the hotel is 2.00/2:30pm. We will then transfer to Pompeii where you will join your bus to come back to Rome. Arrival in Rome around 9.00pm. Guaranteed drop off point: Viale Washington, Viale Luigi Enaudi, Termini Station Area, Via Ludovisi. Transfer services and extra nights in Rome available upon request.
