Day 1. Saturday. Catania
Arrive on your own in Catania to your hotel, Il Principe in Catania.  Meet your guide for welcome cocktail and briefing. Dinner and overnight at the hotel. Private car transfer form the airport can be arranged upon request as per price below the itinerary. Accommodation. Welcome cocktail, dinner and overnight at your Hotel.

Day 2. Sunday: Catania Syracuse  Ragusa
Enjoy your breakfast buffet style then depart to Syracuse to visit the archaeological area including the famous Latomie of the Paradise and the Dyionisios “Ear”. After visiting the ancient sites we will go to the city center, a forme island called Ortigia,  where we will have a chance to visit the interesting Cathedral and The Arethuse fountain. Time for lunch to stroll around the historic city and lunch on your own. Depart to Ragusa, a UNESCO World Heritage town and visit of the enchanting historical center, Ibla, with its Baroque palaces and churches. We will taste some typical products of the island  in a nice bar in the main square by the Dome. Accommodation, dinner and overnight at Hotel Poggio del Sole.

Day 3. Monday:  Ragusa  Caltagirone  Piazza Armenia  Agrigento
After a buffet breakfast, depart to Caltagirone famous center of the Sicilian ceramics production where old Renaissance techniques are still used in pottery making of bright colors. Continue to Piazza Armerina and visit the well known Villa Romana del Casale renowned for its well preserved mosaics dating back to Roman times. The owners of the villa is still unknown. Lunch in a local restaurant with a special menu featuring local specialties and to introduce you to the flavors of Sicily . Depart to Agrigento and visit the Valley of the Temples, the best preserved ancient Greek temples in the world: the Juno, Concord, Heracles, Zeus, Castor and Pollux temples. Accommodation and dinner at Hotel Dioscuri Bay Palace.  Overnight.

Day 4. Tuesday: Agrigento  Palermo  Monreale
Breakfast, then departure to Palermo. First we stop at Monreale. Time at leisure and lunch on your own, then we will visit the Cathedral , one of the most beautiful monuments of the world with its fantastic golden mosaics depicting the Old and new Testaments. Also admire the Benedictine Cloister in Arab-Norman style. Continue to visit the historical center of Palermo, one of the largest of Europe including the Cathedral, the Palatine Chape and the Royal Palace. Check in for accommodation at the Grand Hotel Piazza Borsa. Dinner and overnight in Palermo.

Day 5. Wednesday: Palermo  Segesta  Erice  Trapani  Palermo
Today we depart for Segesta to visit the Temple dating back to 430 B.C. and the Theater surrounded by a suggestive landscape. Continue to the medieval hill top village of Erice with excellent view over the salt fields of Trapani and the islands of Egadi, an authentic Sicilian panorama. Let’s take a walk through its narrow and characteristic streets and alleys. Lunch on your own. We’ll descend by our bus for a panoramic view to Trapani, located below Erice on sea level. Trapani is famous for its salt windmills that have been in use through historic times and are still in operation. Return to Palermo. Dinner and Overnight at the hotel.

Day 6. Thursday: Palermo  Cefalu  Parco Dei Nebrodi   Taormina
Today after breakfast we depart to charming Cefalù and visit the pretty Arab-Norman Cathedral and the exotic looking medieval wash house. Enjoy a walk down the streets of this small village full of shops and antiques. Continue to the Park of  Nebrodi and stop at the Miraglia Forest for lunch with a typical menu. Continue to Cesarò, Randazzo and visit the Etna park from an unusual northern vantage point surrounded by beautiful landscapes. Arrival in Taormina. Accommodation, dinner and overnight at Hotel Villa Diodoro, in the center of Taormina.

Day 7. Friday: Taormina Optional Excursion to Mt Etna – Taormina
This morning is free to spend it at your leisure or there is possibility for an optional excursion to the Mount Etna, the highest active volcano in Europe. Weather conditions permitting, across fascinating landscape we will reach a height of 1800 meters,where we will enjoy a fantastic panorama of the Ionic Sea.  Free time for lunch on your own. In the afternoon return to Taormina, the small medieval village called “the pearl of the Ionic Sea”. Enjoy time at leisure for shopping or walking through the tiny streets. Possibility to visit the Roman – Greek theater on your own from where you can admire the beautiful vistas over Giardini Naxos and Mt Etna. In the evening be ready for a farewell dinner at your Hotel.
The Mt Etna excursion can be pre-booked up to two weeks prior to departure or on the spot up to 4 days prior the excursion and subject to availability (needs minimum 10 people to operate) Cost Euro 45 payable locally.

Day 8. Saturday: Taormina
After a buffet breakfast, end of  services. Optional transfer to Catania airport can be requested or stay longer in charming Taormina.
