HOTEL CAVALLETTO****
One of
the oldest hotels in Italy, dating back to the 13th century when the Doges of
Venice would stop on their way to hunt boar on the Lido. It was renovated in the
1870s. Here, in between the two world wars, the Marchesa Casati and the Duke of
Abruzzi held court for the intellighentsia. Richard Strauss and Sir Winston
Churchill slept here. The Cavalletto offers a 24 hours Concierge and valet service, multilingual staff, travel desk and a water door for taxi boats. At the Cavalletto the Buffet Breakfast is served in the Breakfast Room overlooking the Basin or up to the rooms between 07.00 a.m. and 10.30 a.m. The Bar is open in the evening from 17.00 to 24.00 |
